Global Lithuanian Leaders Pro Club Summit
In its 20th anniversary year, the Lithuanian City of London Club (LCLC) gathers senior professionals from finance, technology and business to address two questions: how do we develop the talent to compete in the age of AI, and where do the Baltics and CEE fit in Europe’s economic landscape?
The afternoon features two panel discussions with founders, investors, educators and senior business leaders, followed by an unscripted conversation with Lithuanian alpinist Saulius Damulevičius on risk, preparation and the decision to turn back from Everest at 8,400 metres.
Panel 1: Who Will Build the Future? Talent, Skills and Workforce Development in the Age of AI
What does it take to develop and scale world-class talent in the age of AI? This panel brings together founders, educators, and global business leaders to explore the human capital foundations of future growth – moving beyond theory to address the practical realities of building high-performing individuals and teams that can compete globally.
Panelists:
- Moderator: Dr Yury Romanenkov (LBS)
- Jurga Žilinskienė MBE (Guildhawk)
- Matthew Blakemore (AI Caramba!)
- Evghenia Iarina (Coursera)
- Samuel Stylianou (Riverhouse Partners)
Panel 2: Who Will Run the Future European Economy? Investment, Resilience and the Rise of the Baltics and CEE
The global economy is being rewritten. Capital is moving, alliances are shifting, and the map of where value is created is changing fast – with Eastern Europe increasingly at the centre of that story. This panel asks what the future economy actually looks like, and where Lithuania fits within it. From emerging sectors and investment flows to the ambitions of a small nation with outsized potential, this is a conversation about what comes next – and how Lithuania intends to help shape it.
Panelists:
- Moderator: Edward Lucas (Baltic International Security Center)
- Auksė Jurkutė (Bank of America)
- Timothy Ash (Chatham House)
- Kasparas Jurgelionis (Iron Wolf Capital)
- William Wells (Rothschild & Co)
Unscripted Conversation ‘Overcome Yourself – Not the Peak’ with a high altitude mountaineer Saulius Damulevičius
Renowned Lithuanian alpinist Saulius Damulevičius took on one of mountaineering’s greatest challenges: a solo attempt on Everest without supplemental oxygen or sherpa assistance. At 8,400m, just halfway to the summit, he made the decision to turn back… Join us as Saulius shares the full story – the preparation, the mountain, the moment everything went wrong, and what comes next.
